WidgetStation is connected via Wi-Fi, Ethernet, and USB Network. Variety of Widgets are offered including World Clock, Stock Updates, Weather Information, News, Traffic, Photos and more. Once downloaded from the service site, users can easily load onto the WidgetStation and play on its dual LCD screens (mono/color).
Overall Service Structure
Widgetone.com is the service site developed by Emtrace Technologies, Inc. that connects to the WidgetStation. Users can easily change the settings for their WidgetStation and receive the up to the minute information as the service updates instantly.
Users can receive information on Widgets from the Widget Gallery before downloading. Widget APIs are also provided from the site for reference to making a Widget. Individual Widgets can be uploaded for others to download. When Widget settings are changed from the service site, keep in mind that the changes will be automatically applied to the WidgetStation for user’s convenience. Widgetone.com service site is built using the web 2.0 elements with simple access using OpenID.
Widget Platform
Emtrace Technologies, Inc. has introduced its own Widget Platform that can provide the basic foundation for widgets to be incorporated in many appliances we use today. Widget Platform can be integrated into many, including personal and commercial products, which require informative screens such as PCs, mobile phones, and home appliances.
